History
Apopka Elementary School was constructed in 1968 as a two-story building with 25 classrooms. Some time later it was converted into Apopka Junior High School while the new high school was being built. In the early 1970s, it once again became an elementary school. In December, 2006, a portable replacement project was begun which replaced 29 portables with a two-story 2 0-classroom building
We have had the distinction of receiving the 5-Star School Award for the past three years. This award is based on family involvement, business partnerships, community service, ADDITIONS volunteer participation, and school advisory council participation.
